Ok let me make myself clear here.. apart from maybe Facebook and Twitter.. and if you call Tumblr and this blog a social networking site, i absolutely dispise social networking... It's shit and justa way for people who have nothing better to do to waste time.. and frankly in my view has made everybody lazy to communicate.
But I'm not here to talk about the ill effects of social media rather to give you probably the only boon i see out of it and she has a name: Shruti :)
Ok so let me tell you about how we came to know each other. Well it was because of my then most favorite hindi show "Geet." We both adored the serial a lot and for major part of the initial time i knew her that's all i remember talking about. then we both found out we have similar love for SRK and RK (Shahrukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor.. if you dont know who they are then whatever.... u live under a rock) ... Then also for our love for "Wasting Time." Most of time we are always "Bored" and doing "Nothing." LOL... Then i think after some time we really started connecting on practically all levels imaginable and i really loved messaging her..
To describe her... well she is a naughty, sweet, caring, fun and overall "masti" type girl. I did not know that i could trust someomne in a span of a few months and moreover through a social networking site. But she is just so easy to talk to that whatever i feel like saying i can just tell her... I think its because she has such a positive attitude that i like her so much... considering i am so negative and cynical most of the time.
We message each other so many times a day that i have lost count.. and its never boring.. even if it feels like the conversation is coming to an end i want to continue it because it is so much fun... There is just something so caring and non judgemental about her that i dont ever want to stop talking...
I hope to meet her soon when i get to delhi and i know we will have the best time ever...

An Awesome Day Spent With Pinache
Lol I could not for the life of me think of a quirky slogan for today. But man it was so awesome. Today I have been out practically the whole day and it was an adventure of sorts. Because, today a lot of things have happened for the first time. I will talk about that in a later post. Since the title of this “blog” is ”FRIENDS” I will tell you about the day I spent with the most nicest and truest people I have ever had the chance of meeting.
Now in other posts I have given a very negative sort of portrayal of friends which might make you think I do not have very many good friends. Well the reason of that is treason on the hands of a very close mate. That relation has died the most silent death I could have ever imagined, and honest to God I thought it was for keeps. But, Hey! You win some and you lose some right.
I’m in the winning side with having being blessed with a friend like Divya. Now I’m not going to sound fake and corny by saying I love her to death and all. But I would like to say that I would love this girl for many many years to come. I do not know a lot of people who would be willing to put up with all my crap, but she can. She is extremely genuine and her sheer gullible nature makes me laugh so hard. She just has this simple and grounded attitude that could pull in anyone one. Slightly reserved and a bit orthodox she definitely has been raised well.. for that I should give full marks to aunty and uncle.
I have known her for the past 5 years now and we are still very close and are things I can only tell her just because I know I would never be judged no matter what. Or so it seems for the present. It’s not like I am a serial killer or something. So when I do something that steep then I will know for sure.
I do not see her often. We don’t call each other for months together. Maybe a forward here or there but whenever I feel like it I can just pick up the call and talk to her without looking at the time in my watch. Ok for instance yesterday I could not sleep and for some reason I had a nagging feeling inside me which I still cannot figure out. So I called her up and I think it was 11:00 pm. In all her grogginess she picked up the call and I knew then that she was asleep. So I quickly apologised and said I would call her back in the morning. But she told me that no way she wants me to put the call down and that she was not sleeping but was merely lying on the bed. She isn’t a very good liar. And then we started speaking about things which may seem absolutely uninteresting to a lot of people.. but mind you it was top priority for us. LOL
I think we hung up at around 1 or 2 in the morning and I did not even realize I had kept her up so late. But she did not yawn or scuff even for a second. The minute I hung up the call I felt relaxed and went to sleep like a baby.
This is just the latest instance but there have been many other times when I have done this. So it’s not hard to see why she is one of the closest friends I have and I consider myself so lucky. Today we saw the last film of the Harry Potter Franchise and I would not have enjoyed the film with anybody else.
So this is just a Thank You for being such a good friend to me always. People have 4 am friends I have a 11pm friend and I could not be happier :)

The Thing About Friends
Now le me tell you that even if you have ONE and yes i mean ONE good friend you should consider yourself lucky. Because dammit they are one hard thing to find. In my life of 20 or so years i have narrowed the list to the types of friends one has. Let me list them to you in no particular order:
1.) The "I'm Here Because I have To Be and I will dump your Ass Once My time with you is over" Friend: You have those.. Dont lie to yourself. You know it. If you are so clueless as to who these friends are then let me summarise. A *above mentioned* friend is one who is your friend upto the time they "need" you. I have quoted that because they think they need you but they actually dont. These friends will come to you and go by you just as fast cause they are not interested in maintaining any real relationship. They are just visiting your temple of friendship and what they like is not the religion but hpw the temple looks. To be honest these friends do not bother me much because they are gone in spilt seconds and they don't really mean much because at the end of the day you never really liked them either. For example.. If your best friend is not able to come for whatever reason to a gathering of sorts and you do not know anyone else there you talk to someone who you don't really like but you do just because you dont want to seem like the fool without any friend. Gathering over.. bye bye friend.
2.) The "I hope you were the same person i knew 10/5 years ago" friend: These are basically very good friends from your childhood but since moving and growing you have shifted apart but yet wish you were still as good friends as you were before. You do keep in touch with them but not as often and just barely know the person they are now. Having said that you are still reminiscent about the time shared. You do feel hurt that things are not the same. But you hope that one day you will be on the same playing field as them one day and that they will be wearing the same jersey.
3.) The Online Friend: Well mixed emotions here to be honest really. I have a few really good online friends whom i would love to meet in person one day. To summarize an online friend is a person you have met online through a social networking medium and like/share the same interests and they just somehow seem cooler than "real" people. To be completely honest with you i do not know how far people actually take these friendships cause i dont really have one where i would be ever so devastated had one of these friends broken up with me. I would feel bad but i would not go into depression or anything... Having said this i would like to exclude a few names here which i wont mention but i sincerely hope they know who they are.
Ah bored and sleepy now i will continue the list later......
